Missed turn

My friend Cricket and I headed to Bar Harbor but we missed the turn and found ourselves in Ellsworth. So, we went for lunch at a Thai restaurant I had never noticed before going to Walmart to shop.
The décor in this restaurant is pure Thai with heavy, wood furniture that has gorgeous sculptures on it. Some tables have carvings on the top and then are covered with glass. The food was good and not too expensive so we have put that on our 'return to' list.

walk to lighthouse

How many times do I say "be sure the camera is charged" and how often do I not even think about it....well, I decided to walk to the lighthouse today and, of course, the camera battery died as I got there. So here are only a few photos of some flowers on the way and one side of the lighthouse.

These are photos taken by 'ordinary' people of Bass Harbor Campground and our surrounding area which is mostly Acadia National Park.

Bass Harbor Campground

I have our site marked so everyone knows we live here.

This was the completed (with no fireplace at this point) pavilion but then the remants of Andrea (the storm) came along and took down our roof! It will be repaired in a more sturdy manner so we can enjoy it as we did with an impromptu potluck for workers and seasonal campers that are here.

Once the weather straightens out, it is going to be another glorious summer here.

Finally, Bass Harbor

After a week of driving, I visited with Lorraine who's house has the most gorgeous lake views. We watched sunset (camera not with me) after having a wonderful dinner.
I have 'settled' into Bass Harbor campground and will start work tomorrow. It is still quiet here so I will have time to re-acquaint with the scheduling system (updated version).
Photos here are from the trip along the way.
